🔢 What is Numerology?
Numerology is the mystical study of numbers and their influence on human life, personality, destiny, and spiritual growth. It is based on the belief that numbers are not just mathematical symbols, but they carry vibrational energy that shapes the universe and our individual experiences.
Just like astrology uses planets and stars, numerology uses numbers (derived from your name and date of birth) to decode patterns, traits, and life cycles.
📖 Types of Numerology
There are several systems of numerology developed in different cultures. The main ones are:
Pythagorean Numerology (Western Numerology)
Origin: Ancient Greece, based on philosopher Pythagoras (father of mathematics & mysticism).
Method: Assigns numbers 1–9 to letters A–Z.
Focus: Calculates Life Path Number, Destiny Number, Soul Urge Number, Personality Number.
Example: Name “ALEX” → A(1) + L(3) + E(5) + X(6) = 15 → 1+5 = 6.
Uses: Personality analysis, relationships, career choices, life purpose.
Chaldean Numerology (Ancient Babylonian)
Origin: Oldest known system from Babylonia.
Method: Assigns values 1–8 (number 9 considered sacred & not used for letters).
Belief: Numbers carry vibrations of the universe.
More mystical than Pythagorean — focuses on hidden forces, karmic lessons, and deeper truths.
Uses: Predictive guidance, destiny insights, compatibility checks.
Kabbalah Numerology (Hebrew/Jewish Mysticism)
Origin: Jewish Kabbalah (Tree of Life teachings).
Method: Derived mainly from name, not birthdate.
Assigns numbers based on 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet.
Focus: Spiritual growth, soul’s journey, inner transformation.
Uses: Understanding divine purpose, mystical insight, spiritual healing.
Vedic Numerology (Indian Numerology)
Origin: Ancient Vedic texts (connected with astrology & planets).
Method: Each number 1–9 is ruled by a planet:
1 = Sun ☀️
2 = Moon 🌙
3 = Jupiter ♃
4 = Rahu (North Node)
5 = Mercury ☿
6 = Venus ♀
7 = Ketu (South Node)
8 = Saturn ♄
9 = Mars ♂
Uses: Predicts personality, career, health, marriage, spiritual purpose. Strongly linked with Jyotish (Vedic Astrology).
Understanding our life as per our Maha dasha, Antar Dasha, Pratyantar Dasha.
Chinese Numerology
Origin: Ancient Chinese philosophy (I Ching & Lo Shu Grid).
Method: Focuses on Yin & Yang energy and meanings of numbers.
Example:
8 = Prosperity & wealth (lucky number in China).
4 = Death/unlucky (sounds like the word “death” in Chinese).
Uses: Feng Shui, business success, choosing lucky dates, harmony in life.
